During the holiday from Jan. 20 to 26, tourism receipts were estimated at 17.5 trillion VND (745.79 million USD), down 30 percent year on year, ANTV reported.

The administration said the number of foreign travelers during the Lunar New Year holiday had increased compared to the Solar New Year holiday, attributing the rise to China’s reopening from Jan. 8.

The capital Hanoi welcomed 32,000 foreign visitors during the Tet holiday, mainly from the Republic of Korea, Japan, Singapore, France and Canada.

Meanwhile, every day, Khánh Hoà province received 15 flights with 188 to 220 Chinese travelers each, as well as about 1,400 from Kazakhstan and the Republic of Korea. In total, this tourist destination in the Center welcomed some 11,300 foreigners during the holidays.

Ninh Binh (North) also welcomed 29,500 foreign visitors, while Bà Ria-Vung Tàu (South) received around 10,688.

To meet the high demand of tourists on vacation, travel agencies have offered them various products and services as well as attractive promotion programs.
